2009’s ComicCon showcased the teaser trailer for Tron Legacy (previously Tr2n/Tron2) and with it came rumors that the French based electronic group, Daft Punk, will score the soundtrack. Rumors have also been circulating the net with a mention that Daft Punk may perform this year in Indio, CA for the Coachella Music Festival. Though I doubt it’s true that they will be in the final lineup for Coachella, the rumor that Daft Punk is producing music for Tron Legacy seems very likely.
Also, in 2009, Activision (makers of Guitar Hero) have produced a game console called DJ Hero! Daft Punk has exclusive rights to mash-ups and remixes for the game. Though I personally have yet to try it, the game has produced mix reviews. According to Rollingstones.com:
